Master Plan

The city is set to welcome over 6 crore tourists by the end of 2024. The new Valmiki International Airport terminal will handle 6 million passengers annually. Key projects include:

  • Modernized Ayodhya Dham Railway Station

The government's investment plan of ₹85,000 crore and total pledged investments of ₹1,42,836 crore are transforming Ayodhya into an economic hub. The Vande Bharat trial routes will connect Ayodhya with major cities starting July 2024.

Real Estate and Hospitality Growth: Ayodhya's real estate market is thriving, driven by spiritual tourism which accounts for over 60% of India's tourism. Notable developments include:

  • Lulu Group's ₹4,500 crore investment in shopping malls and hypermarkets
  • Hotel Management International (HMI) investing ₹7,200 crore to develop luxury hotels

The city has seen a 112% YOY growth in spiritual tourism and a 107% growth in related revenue.
